Our History
Someone might think that a company less than a decade old may not have much history.
Not so for Lucernex. Although Lucernex officially opened for business in 2000, the foundations
for the vision, company, and products have a rich history that has been decades in the making.
Based in Dallas, Texas, Lucernex Technologies was founded in 2000 to address
the unique needs of owners with large real estate portfolios.
The founders set out to create a company focused on the development of powerful software tools
to address real estate development and facilities management from the top down.
Each had a vision of a collaborative solution that guides internal and external users
through the process step-by-step, alerts managers and executives of potential issues before
they become critical, and consolidates all relevant information into a single, web-accessible,
repository with wizard based reporting tools. The final goal was one easy to use,
full lifecycle solution, with a low
Total Cost of Ownership - built on cutting edge technology that
could be integrated with client legacy systems.
A prototype was developed in 2000 and the company vision and mission was set. Product development began in late 2000, leveraging the opinions of multiple retailers to guide feature development and usability. Our full lifecycle solution was introduced in the US in late 2002 and was rapildly integrated into the business operations of several Fortune 500 retailers.
