Mike Nuzum

Mike Nuzum’s career began in 1965 when, after college, he founded a retail electronics company which he successfully grew for six years and ultimately sold to the parent company of Steak ‘n Shake. Nuzum took an executive position at Steak ‘n Shake and spent a decade in charge of marketing and development. By the end of the 1970s, Nuzum left to create Lucerne Realty and Development, which managed store development for large retail and restaurant companies, as well as managed and developed commercial real estate, in the United States and Europe for over 25 years. In the early 1980s, Nuzum was involved in the acquisition of nine craft stores which became Michaels Stores Inc. where he developed and managed the original 600-store rollout program. In the 90s he became President of MJ Designs,Inc and helped grow the chain to 60 stores and $280 million in sales .

In 2000, Nuzum founded Lucernex Technologies with a simple vision: create a practical software platform that could simplify the real estate and construction process, improve the odds of new store success, shorten the time frame and generally make store development easier and more successful
