Michael D. Hammerslag, MBA, MS

In 1988 Michael Hammerslag joined The Rockefeller Group, Inc., found his passion, and began a career. Mr. Hammerslag’s career, now stretching more than 20 years, has led him to be involved in nearly every aspect of real estate – from research and leasing to management and ownership.

Mike has also been drawn to the classroom where he taught real estate and finance to aspiring leaders at both the graduate and undergraduate level. He shared both his practical and academic experiences while a teaching assistant at the University of Connecticut and later as a full-time faculty member at Cornell University, the State University of New York at Oneonta, and New York University; his full-time university teaching career spans nearly ten (10) years.

Furthermore, Mr. Hammerslag brings a career full of analytical experience having led the lease and property financial analysis efforts of several real estate brokerages and owners in New York City. This experience combined with his prior real estate software development experience, done in conjunction with Ken Brown who is now Lucernex’s EVP and CIO, make Mike ideal to lead the continued development and product management of Lx products; notably Lx LseMod and Lx Contracts.

Mr. Hammerslag holds an undergraduate degree from Heidelberg College (Computer Science), master degrees from Long Island University (Finance) and New York University (Real Estate), and was a Doctoral Candidate (PhD in Finance) at the University of Connecticut.

Lastly, he is active in the industry holding the Certified Property Manager® designation, is a licensed New York State real estate salesperson, and serves as the Vice President of Education and a Member of the Executive Committee of Chapter 26 (New York City) of the Institute of Real Estate Management.
